Writing out the new script for the trailer since we had a change of plans


Script:

 Friendly:
  • We thought we could be free
  • We thought we could escape the humans.
  • But what happens when they want food?
  • If they find out were not one of them...we're doomed.
Human:
  • Hey yeah ..um can I have the Salisbury Steak
Captain:
  • We have no choice. Engineer, can you handle it?
Engineer:
  • Leave it to me.
  • I failed, I should have done better.
  • I will do better.

Our pitch bible presentation  Narrative short summary:  Episode 1: We are introduced to our cast, a group of cyborgs attempting to escape their life as slaves to the humans and reach ‘the factory’, where they can have their human parts removed, become full robots and live in peace. However, they are hailed by a ship and quickly realise that the spacecraft they hijacked was a space restaurant, and the beacon advertising it is still broadcasting. Deciding to fulfil the order to avoid suspicion, the clueless cyborgs scramble to find something humans might like to eat. However, the only thing left on the ship is their own meat... Week 7

Today we met up in class and showed each other the work we did over the week, to give critique and feedback and working out what we will have done over the break: Kasina worked on the inside aesthetic of  the kitchen and diner area: She played with 2 different aesthetics - We all agreed we liked the first style the most so will continue in that direction. It has a more grungy rundown vibe to it which is what we were going for. Grace continued developing the characters, this week she worked on Captain & Friendly: Different outfits and styles fitting our 1960's vibe and colour palette -  We really liked the design and style of 9 & 10 for Friendly and 6 & 11 for Captain. Bridget started looking at how and what she will create a model for: The teachers commented we should do one of the characters, such as Engineer.  We think if we have time we can do both ;)  Danielle continued working with after effects and began animating the ch

Work Over Break

Finalised Character Design for Friendly and Captain by Grace -  We all agreed we liked the number 1  Get Together -  We discussed  Inspiration/Research: Trailers  Looking at a mix of live action and animated trailers. The Jetson's Intro - Aqua Teen Hunger Force Intro - Annihilation -  Gundam Seed Series OP 3- Parasyte The Maxim Intro - Space Yelp Logo - Experimenting with lighting and colour tone in the kitchen area Cyborg Factory - After Effects Video Tutorials - Storyboarding -  Character intros and space yelp & t easer trailer -  Horror Vibe -  Watched a whole bunch of horror trailers.
